The Norwalk Arts Center (NAC) collaborates with area schools to share resources and educate students in the performing arts. Engaging youth by teaching an appreciation for the performing arts, storytelling and humanity is the goal of our Theatre Discovery series.

NAC offers three live theatre productions each year free of charge to all area schools - one for grades 1,2; one for grades 3,4; one for grades 5,6. Each assembly is presented by a professional acting troupe and includes lesson plans based on ODOE standards. Theatre Discovery is hosted by local schools and at city facilities until Norwalk Theatre's restoration is complete.

Previous partners in the Theatre Discovery Series include Spark Theatre 4 Youth and the New York Theatre Ballet. A special thanks to the Ohio Arts Council for making the partnership with New York Theatre Ballet possible.
